On radio and TV today from King’s:

A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, live on BBC Radio 4 at 3pm (UK time)

Carols from King’s, BBC Two 5pm (UK time) (Video also available for download from King’s College Recordings)

Many years ago I bought a generic Xmas CD, that happened to contain the best rendition of “Good Christian Men Rejoice” I’ve ever heard. I’ve been trying to find it online for years, with no luck.

Unabashed plug for the Carols for a Cure CD series from Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. GREAT renditions of traditional holiday songs, and some new ones thrown in for good measure. And for a great cause.

My holiday season is not complete until I get the new CD.

I love the harmonizing by The Roches.

Stille Nacht

Pavarotti sings the Italian carol, Gesu Bambino.

Lovely versions of I Saw Three Ships and The Holly And The Ivy from the John McCarthy Chorale.

Peter, Paul and Mary’s A-Soalin’.

John Denver And The Muppets’ The Peace Carol.
