How fortunate not to have had an attack in so many years! Should the occasion ever rise, though, knowing what is happening is halfway to remedying it. I found out long ago how difficult it is to describe it to folks who don’t know of it. My girlfriend finally figured out what it was from (I think) WebMD, and since then we’ve been finding ways to reduce its impact and frequency.
So apparently it is something called “stingers”, and they are nerve injuries.
