Explain the love for Chick-Fil-A?

Taste is subjective. I prefer Wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich to Chick-fil-A’s spicy offering though the latter has a better regular chicken sandwich than the former in my opinion. I know people who rave about Five Guys but I find their burgers are just a little better than Wendy’s but they’re overpriced and they always burn the bacon. I can certainly accept that some people genuinely don’t like what Chick-fil-A’s serving.

Good food, great service, good prices. What’s not to love?

Now that you mention it, it WAS the nuggets and strips. A little research reveals that they do indeed add sugarcane syrup and molasses to the batter for these items. I don’t recall the original sandwich being sweet - just soft, briny, and generally meh.

NM sounded Jr moddish

Apologies; I didn’t mean for it to sound ominous. I was just pointing out that any one person’s circle of friends is probably not a representative cross-section of the nation as a whole. It’s sort of like the oft-heard refrain of “How did <politician> win? Nobody I know voted for <him/her>.”. In other words, just because bump knows more people who actively avoid CFA for their views than people who actively seek it out for their views, does not necessarily mean that the latter are actually less common, and it certainly doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

Thanks for the followup! And I can see why even the original sandwich might not appeal to everyone. I grew up with it, so it’s hard to tease out gustatory quality from nostalgia.

We have one here, but I have never been. Reading this thread make me curious to try them, but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow, as I hear they close on Sunday.

This will get you by,** Baker-san**. You’re welcome.
