Explain your user name

The squirrel is my totem animal and the cub part comes in from my association to the gay community. PS. Tom of Finland drawings are alright, I was surprised Andrea had seen them.

It’s a nickname my husband gave me. I call him “BoyHead.” Goofy, huh? People want to puke when they’re around us. Sometimes he calls me Wife-lette, too. Sheesh!

My first name is Jodi, my last name starts with an “H”, I used to play a fast on-line gaem where no one used caps 'cause it took too long . . .

HEY!! WAKE UP!!!

My name comes from an episode of the Simpson’s. It’s the episode where Homer is banished from Moe’s tavern. In that episode, a man that looks like Homer walks into Moe’s and introduces himself as Guy Incognito. Moe thinks he’s Homer and has him beaten up and tossed out in the street. Homer then chances upon the unconscious Guy and is amazed at the amazing resemblance to himself. Homer is then distracted by the appearance of a dog with a puffy tail.

We need a Troy McClure on this board, dammit!

It’s my last name.

I chose my user name because I believe that peaceful honest people should be free to pursue their own happiness in their own way.

I like crickets! Simple…

3 or 4 years ago, I was trying to sign up for WBS to chat online…every damn name I tried was taken…I tried old nick-names, characters from favorite books, all were taken. So I started trying character names from movies…since I had just seen “The Never-ending Story” the day before, I picked the boy/hunter/warrior kid…I know I spelled it wrong (probably why it worked), and I’ve used it ever since.

Sqrl… <G> Tom is VERY popular in some of the circles I move in.

We have a roomate here who wears gray/right pocket. He doesn’t have any of Tom’s artwork, but I think you get the idea

Mom always said there’d be days like this…she just never said there’d be so MANY of them!!!

Stella Fantasia is a classmate of Dolores “Lolita” Haze in the Nabokov novel. I like the sound of it. I’m a huge David Bowie fan, & “Stella Fantasia” would be a good name for a girlfriend of Ziggy Stardust, I think (if Ziggy swung that way, hmm hmm…) I used the asterisk as a spacer rather than the standard underscore to go along with the “star” theme of things…

Plus Nabokov describes her as “adorable Stella, who has let strangers touch her”, which is a fair description of me.

The lovable drunk Otis Campbell from the Andy Griffith show. It just makes you yearn for the days when the town drunk was a source of merriment for the town, and you always had a cool pillow in Andy’s cell at the end of the day and Aunt Bee’s homemade breakfasts in the morning.

The sig line is from a classic Otis episode.

“Stop the rope and let me in or I’ll go out and get some gin”

“Homie” - because friends in college called me “Homie.” Homie the Clown (from “In Living Color”) was popular at the time, and I was something of a clown.

“Rasta” came from a woven hat I bought in New Orleans. Looks like something a rastafarian would wear. After I started wearing it, friends took to calling me “rastahomie.” I guess it made more sense than “rastafari,” since I’m a white, republican, conformist Christian with short hair, rather than a dread-locked black person who worships Jah.

Thor was one of my favorite comics as a kid–yeah, that’s right, as a kid.

It’s a pun on “euro-trash girl”, and the fact that I always have a lot of random junk floating around in my brain. There’s no big story behind it, I just came up with it one night when I noticed that the screen name I had been using was kinda boring. That’s all. Aren’t you glad you asked?

“That’s entertainment!” —Vlad the Impaler

Zorak, aka Batmantis, aka the Lone Locust of the Apocolypse, is a character on Cartoon Ntetworks “Space Ghost-Coast to Coast.” He used to be on of S.G’s arch-enemies, but now is the bandleader for his talk show. I really like the character, hence Zorakman.

“Boy, sure wish we had one o’ them Doomsday devices”-Gen. Turginson, Dr. Strangelove

I use CounterAttackII because my style of combat is to counter, and I attack only when I can hit with 2 consecutive hits. Also, Counter was my nickname because I always seem to have some sort of sarcastic comment to counter anyone elses’.

–OK, OK, so throwing bricks WASN’T such a good idea…

I’m short, and slightly pixie-ish. But I was going through the whole “too-cute-blech” thing (I get called cute a lot). So nerd that I am, I added the -oid.

“Tracer” was a superhero character I invented in 1982, which quickly became my favorite. His real name was Jeff Boeing, and he was an ordinary guy until he found a dead space alien out in the California desert who was wearing a thin box (14" wide by 8" high by 3" thick) with 8 rib-shaped clamps holding it in place. He placed the box over his own chest, pressed the one-and-only button on the box’s front, and was immediately surrounded by swirling, glowing yellow energy streamers that gave him super powers.

When flying, he looks kinda like a tracer bullet with that yellow contrail, hence the name “Tracer”.

A BrainWeasel is, among other things, something that causes people’s heads to hurt. (Mwa, ha, ha, ha.) Further explanation is available at my website, but mostly unnecessary.

By the way, BrainWeasel can also be verbified into “to weasel a brain.”
