a felony? I think you need to get yer reading glasses rechecked. It said a fine. and only $50 at that.

This is a very strange and popular topic.

Won’t somebody think about the plumbers?!?!?

Is this even remotely constitutional? Underwear, to me, isn’t really considered “indecent,” and it wouldn’t be a stretch for it to be argued against under freedom of expression. And since primarly young black gentlemen seem to adopt this style moreso than anybody else, it seems like the NAACP could get in on the action as well as the ACLU.

No doubt it is more than is necessary as there are three threads up on this and I already quoted this in the one linked here but…I just have to as it’s so chilling. And so telling of what this law is about. (Although, no, this quote is not related directly to the new attempt to pass this law in Viginia, it’s from a similar attempt in Baton Rouge. But still telling I think.)

“Cpl. Mark Francis/Lafayette Police Dept.: We believe a lot of these people who wear their pants like that, a lot of times they are also involved in illegal activities. So, this would be a tool that we can use to control these individuals…”
