Extended family badly wounded in Iraq

My brother’s BIL (the two of them are married to sisters) is a captain in the Marines. I’d put up some sort of picture link, but I can’t find him with Google.

The latest word I have is that a rocket-propelled grenade hit him in some way, and the chances were very great that he was going to lose his right hand. He’s been flown to Germany.

I hardly know him, really, but typing that out finally let me cry about it.

:frowning:

Sorry to hear that, Cardinal.

I am hoping for the best.

Doctors can do amazing things with what seem like lost causes, limb wise.

Sorry to hear a member of your family was wounded.Shirley Ujest is quite correct - the docs can do some amazing things - and most importantly your Capt survived the incident.

Best luck to him, and to you and yours Cardinal.

Just so you know… they can do hand transplants now.

Here’s an article on the web about the incident:

Thanks for the posts.

I’m so sorry, Cardinal.
