Yes that is a sport, I didn’t make it up, it’s an actual activity. I thought maybe there would be extreme vacuuming or extreme cooking too, but that seems to be the only household chore that has been sportified.

Yup - ESPN has been including Extreme Ironing clips every couple weeks on SportsCenter for about 15 years now.
And they even have a website, which has changed since last I saw it (many years ago).
Up the road from me is a place called “Extreme Welding”. I’ve always wanted to ask the guy who owns it if he’s ever welded on top of Mount Everest or at the bottom of the Marianas trench.
