Extremely cool IQ test

Feel like you need a little humbling? This test is based on flash movies – so you’ll need a browser plug-in to run it -

I thought I was getting my brain kicked but I managed to score a 121.

Tiger what was your score?

I got 139 but I guessed on one or two so who knows.

I wish I could go back to the questions because there were a couple that I’d like to spend some time.

I got 160. Yay me! :stuck_out_tongue: I must say, some were educated guesses, though. I didn’t get the black and white solid lines/dotted lines square/circle one. At all.

Not bad. I was totally unprepared for some of the way some of the questions worked, and I had trouble reading some of the questions (beer was involved), partly because some of these concepts are literally foreign to me - I never saw the English names for them before (being Dutch and all), I misclicked two by accident - for instance, I memorised the numbers and then clicked one without reading what the question was, thinking I was supposed to click them in the order I saw them. , my lenses dried out, my hair was disheveled, the cat was coughing, there were cars driving by, my brain was back on only after the test ended, and and and …

Also, some of the math related questions contained stuff that was far to far into the past for me, and one question I just let the time run out for some reason (probably because it stumped me).

In the end, I scored the meaning of life plus five times a quarter of a centennial minus 20

And now I have a headache!

In short, it’s a fun test and I recommend it. :smack:

Finding the typo in question 12 has to count for something, doesn’t it?

  1. Extremely suspect, though, as on more than one of them I had no clue at all. Combined with the poor English skills of the composer of the test, I’m not sure the result isn’t just a random number…

This test wasn’t written by a native English speaker, was it? Cause I could barely understand the questions, and there was more than one typo. I scored a 69 - I believe that makes me a maroon. I usually get around 130 in other IQ tests, so I’m gonna have to reserve judgement on this one.

Don’t IQ tests usually have a verbal/linguistic component as well (which is my strength), not just the geometry/maths/spatial aptitude?

Heh! I scored 164. But I think I have much the same skill set (3-D perception, pattern matching) as the test constructor seems to have (or at least like), so my score is probably inflated.

Dani

I’m getting a 403 error. :frowning:

:frowning: Me too :frowning:

I’ll just assume I got a 237

I’ll assume 403 is my IQ until this thing is fixed

Good idea, I’ll do that too

The fun thing is that these things are supposed to test your intelligence, but there’s always a strong learning effect. The second time I took this test, I scored 29 points higher.

I scored a 66. And yet somehow, I manage to dress myself most every day.

I screwed up the memorization question somehow. I clicked on something before reading the question. And the last question appeared to be math, at which I am borderline retarded.

  1. Though the english was a tad annoying. And I guessed a lot of them, due to parents interupting and having to put my ateention elsewhere for a bit.

75!!! I have it on good authority that I am NOT a simpleton. But then, with my I.Q., how would I know who was a good authority?

(Stomps off looking for a job requiring stoop labor.)

172, apparently. Which involved some guessing and letting the clock run out on one of them, so I’m not at all sure what it’s indicative of. Fun, though.

  1. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to relax with some light reading. Like Plato, or maybe More. And a beer. Boy do I need a beer…

139… my head is still spinning :o
