Yes they are. Yes they are. Question or opinion?
I heard ‘beets’ and ‘apple pectin’ gets rid of them, but so far I havent tried them yet
Do you eat them, or put them in your eyes?
ROFLMAO
Great question…(and of course, I dont know)
Related recent thread (you can get them removed, for a fee…).
I’ve had them since I was little, as long as I can remember. they don’t bother me.
They only bother me if I’m looking at a very white wall or ceiling (or both)
Here’s Cecil’s column on the subject from (probably) before you were born.
Family Guy got it spot on (so to speak):
They bothered me, intensely, when I was doing proof reading.
White page, good lighting coming in over my shoulder on to the page, looking for blemishes and errors.
And the damn blemishes were just above my centre of vision, and moved when I noticed them.
Ha ha… he nailed it

This seems more of a rant than a factual question.
Moving thread from GQ to the BBQ Pit.
I’d think they’d have to be really, really bad to actually notice them.
The only reason I notice mine now is that you brought it up.
So thanks.
I’ve heard coroners really hate floaters.
That’s where my big one is too, and yep, it’s worst with a white screen in a well lit room, so yeah, all day at work.
I hate these things.
For people that are very near sighted, floaters can be sign of pending detached retinas, and you should see your ophthalmologist, asap.
They really get me when I’m looking through a microscope. Annoying as shit.
I had an incident where I woke up to a sudden dramatic increase in floaters, along with flickering in the peripheries. Fearing exactly what you’re talking about I called my ophthalmologist and he saw me that afternoon.
Fortunately he found no problems, but he said that I did exactly the right thing based on the symptoms. It’s now been a couple of years, the excess floaters have mostly subsided and I’ve had no further problems.
