F1 Japan

What an absolutely stunning race. Man of the race was definitely Kovalainen, even though he didn’t win. And poor old Button - nothing’s going right for him this year.

Oops! Raikkonnen, not Kovalainen.

I feel bad for Vettel and Webber. Vettel flushed an almost certain podium for a minor team and took Webber’s podium hopes with him. Still, Vettel appears to have some talent in him.

And I really like Hamilton. That kid’s the real deal, and Japan put him 12 up on Alonso (who I don’t particularly care for). If he can hold on and win the driver’s championship as a rookie, in addition to all the other rookie achievements on his resume, that’s just almost beyond comprehension.

That was an entertaining race, sure glad I wasn’t driving in it.

It was definitely worth getting up at 5am for. I hope Hamilton can win it because I really don’t care for any of the other guys (except Massa).

My man of the race would probably be Coulthard. I’ll admit a little bias. He started in 12th finished 4th, in front of a Ferrari and Renault and only 20 seconds behind Hamilton. Not bad. It’s a shame he couldn’t hold on to third place but he really didn’t have a chance against Kimi in a Ferrari, especially when he can’t even see him coming.

If Button had been fighting for 3rd place I feel the commentators would be much more excited. As it was David was barely an afterthought. It’s a shame. British number 2 but still my number 1 driver…

It’s the first time he’s driven in such conditions and he’s what, 18? He needs seasoning and experience - and a better car - and then he’ll be a match for Hamilton.
