Fabulous online physics-based game

I suppose its encouraging for would be hackers of this game that they haven’t actually fixed the physics bug, they’ve just disallowed a use that would easily show the bug. Which I’d guess means there may be other ways to break the engine in interesting ways.

Daaaaaaaamn!

Mind the Gap - Gravity only

Never mind. I was going to comment on the fact that the rockets don’t work when I play, but I just read the latest posts about not being able to make rockets anymore, anyway.

Carry on.

Here’s one I did for Tube.

Finally beat Unpossible. What a great game.

It’s just so satisfying to see such a nice design work. I had thought of something like it but had no idea where to start.

(bolding mine)

I don’t think that’s actually true – they did give the wheels some added traction, due to the corners protruding ever-so-slightly; my solution for Awash used them for that purpose – it still works, due to the now-flailing rods sorta dragging the machine on, but if you remove them, it’ll tip over while climbing, and it worked perfectly before.

Very clean.

I’m not sure this is right. The wheels have nibs on them already. I think what they add is weight.

There’s also an anti-wheel league that has come up with some pretty cool stuff. One guy was successful making wheels out of sticks, but unfortunately with the physics update it doesn’t work any more. I think that will be my next challenge.

Unpossible succumbed to a rather mundane solution. Fancy it isn´t, but works.

Might be, but I don’t think this one would work the way it does if there wasn’t some protrusion at the connection wheel/rod. (You can quite clearly see it hobble at that point.)

Also, here’s a green solution to Down Under – seemed kinda natural to try this one using gravity alone.

I took some liberties with your design.

That’s the fastest burrower I’ve seen yet. Nice job.

I got lucky. I’m trying some of the easiest ones from scratch and… let’s just say I’m no engineer. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t see the springs or rockets working. They just sit there and jiggle.

Post 180.

Same here. Neither the rocket nor spring machines posted above do anything when I watch them. They just sit there and wiggle.

Wait a sec–those water rods fall through the environment there at the end! They’re not supposed to do that, are they?

-FrL-

No, but they get confused occasionally, especially when in chains and at high speed. They can also break.
