This seems like it ought to be easy, but I can’t seem to figure it out.
Is there a way to filter facebook friends by their current location? I want to find all my friends that live in Seattle, for example.
I searched around on the internet and found several ways that claimed to do it, but they all appeared to have been written using an older version of facebook. The buttons and controls they mentioned aren’t there any more.
Go to LISTS on the sidebar. If its not there, click MORE and it should show up. Click on the actual word LISTS. Make a new list and add the friends you want to be in the list. Then it should show up in the sidebar under LISTS. Click on the list and you should get a newsfeed of only people on your list. This is from your browser. Not sure how to do it from the app.
I guess I should mention, you have to make the list yourself. I don’t think you can have Facebook figure out which of your friends are in a certain area for you.
Yeah, I’ve noticed there’s no way to give a rough geographical location. SOme people put the name of their local big city, some put the name of the suburb they are in. The search is clueless.
Of course, some people may not want to share thier location info.
