I just learned about “following,” specifically how to block FB users who have been following me. In doing so I found 30 or so names that’s are obviously not real people. Who are these users and why would they want to follow me?
As long as they’ve had the feature, I wonder why it seems like people are suddenly just now discovering it. Also, I’m befuddled at how bent out of shape some people get about it. As far as I’m concerned, Facebook is a public space, and if you don’t want people to see what you’re doing you shouldn’t do it in public.
At any rate, if you don’t want random people “following” you, it’s not necessary to single them out and block them. All you have to do is select “Friends” under “Who can follow me”. It’s in settings under “Public Posts”.
These people are not following you. This is a hoax.
