Facebook privacy website

I found this today, linked from one of my FB friends. If you’re concerned about the privacy of your FB page and aren’t sure you’ve caught everything, this might be a good thing to try:

http://www.reclaimprivacy.org/facebook

I was pleased that it reported “good” for all the options on mine.

I’m locked down tight too  , plus, I barely use my FB account

Is this thing really trustworthy? I’m wary of anything that purports to ‘scan my settings.’

There’s also Diaspora.

It was vetted by hackernews:

ETA: And the complete source code is open:

Another site - How to Put Facebook on a Privacy Lockdown

Why the heck does it want me to remove the ability for people to add me as a friend? That’s kinda the point of Facebook. I also therefore want them to see my friends and my about me, so they have a clue who I am, so they know if they want to add me.

Oh, and if I had a website, I’m pretty sure I’d want it published where people could see it. Why wouldn’t I?

Thanks for the link, Duckster. Mine’s on lockdown now.

Yeah, I noticed that too. :smack:
