I have a Facebook page for my business. I own it, and two other people have administrative privileges as well. Whenever I write something on the business’ page, it shows as being from the business. I want to comment on some of the posts and have the comments show my name rather than the business name, and I can’t figure out how to do this.
I can’t find an answer to this anywhere in Facebook’s help. I hope there’s a way to do it.
If your business is Facebook “Page” and not a “person”, I don’t think you can unless you remove yourself as one of the admins. (You can always keep a separate account to admin it with). It’s a common complaint.
I am commenting from my personal account, but it shows up as being from the business because I’m an administrator of the business page (the business doesn’t have its own account, just its own page).
It can get confusing when three different people are making posts on the business’ page and they all show up as being from the business.
Yep, it’s an unfortunate limitation of how Facebook pages work. I ran into the same problem with a page I help admin for the company I work for. AFAIK There’s no easy solution except for signing your post.
I am also an administrator of a Facebook page and have hit the same problem - apparently an administrator of a page cannot post on the page’s wall under his own name.
The only workaround I can think of would involve another user who is also an aministrator of the page:
Have the other administrator revoke your administrator function
Post on the page’s wall - as yourself (this assumes the page’s permissions are set so non-administrators can post)
Have the other administrator reinstate you as administrator.
