A bit of curiosity. I logged into my facebook this AM and was alerted by the fine tools that there had been “an access” [if I recall the phrasing, to that effect in any case] from an unknown location, and it threw up a map indicating the access point had been in USA, in Texas. As I know no one in Texas, have never been there in my life, haven’t been to USA in some time, etc. etc., I evidently followed procedure and changed password, no panic, also poked around and did not see anything posted nor changed.
However, I am curious as to their security features and to what degree this likely was a login attempt (perhaps by someone with my name accidentally trying me as opposed to themselves) or an actual hack.
Again, no panic all accounts are fine, simply curious as to potential meanings (and certain were I to ask Facebook I would get a lawyered-up response, if any)
[*: Also to remove doubt, I have not used a public computer nor network of late, and have zero reason to suspect or believe genuine compromise]
