Every time I put up a new status update, it does appear in my “feed” but doesn’t appear on my wall for many hours (10 hours maybe? That’s just a guess). This started a few days ago. Is anybody else having this problem or is it just me? What can I do about it?
I think it might have happened to me last night.
I made some comments posts to some friends and they all showed up fine, and then I posted something on my wall and it was like I never posted it. I’m not sure if it ever showed up or not, as at that point, I went with the, “eh, fuck Facebook” gambit and just logged off.
I’ll have to check it out tonight to see if it shows up.
May I hijack?
Is there any way of knowing who de-friended you? I don’t spend a lot of time on FB. I have a feeling most of my ‘friends’ are old classmates. I was de-friended by one of them after I got into a debate with another of her friends. (Nearly all of my classmates are pretty far right, and so are their friends it seems.) But the other day, I noticed the counter was down one. Not that it matters at all, but I’m curious about who dropped me.
Not after the fact, but if you set up the Better Facebook browser add-on, you can have it report in a sidebar who has defriended you after that point.
Alternately, if your friends list is small enough that you’d notice, go to your profile page, find your full friends list, and scroll down to see if anyone is conspicuously absent.
Probably not appropriate for a thread that has only two replies and no answer yet.
But no, not within Facebook. You can print out a list of your friends periodically and see when they change. There are other apps (like Better Facebook) that will give you this information.
I’ve found FB to be a little screwy the last few days. People have statuses disappear. Comments disappear.
Then they come back.
Other friends of mine have noticed the same thing.
I think it’s real.
