Poll asks simple question. (Despite stupidly spelling “account” incorrectly…)
Feel free to elaborate if you wish.

Had one, but cancelled it. It bored me, to be frank, and while i see the entertainment value, it just never did it for me.
I was fairly late to FB, but it is now so ingrained that it seems to be the best/only way to organise events amongst a bunch of folk my age (early 40s). Plus I’m only FB friends with people I actually know and like.
I had one, canceled it, then re-upped, and now rarely use it. So I voted that I rarely use it. FB just does nothing for me–I’m sick and tired of all the anti-Obama crap, the “God is an awesome God!..Amen!” posts, and I have no inclination to tell the world, “I ate a pretzel for breakfast!!! It was yummy!!!” because no one really gives a shit.
That makes a big difference. I don’t just friend anyone…I won’t friend anyone outside of my generation (none of my aunts/uncles, none of my friends’ parents). I won’t friend people from school if I don’t care what they’re up to. I will un-friend anyone who gets to seem too crazy to me.
I’ve been able to make some good new connections and re-establish some old connections via Facebook. It’s fantastic!
I HATE FACEBOOK!
I was dragged there, kicking and screaming. “Oh, you can see pictures of friends.” “You can keep in touch with everybody.” “It’s easier than email.”
Guess what? Facebook hates me! It loses my messages, it won’t let me chat, and trying to track down pictures that others have posted is a pain in the ass.
And THEN you get to read all the inane remarks that people make. “If you believe in Jesus/veterans/motherhood/applepie, I dare you to repost this.” “Don’t use blahblah, because their software will suck your brains out through your bellybutton.” “I blew my nose and I feel so much better!”
I HATE FACEBOOK!

I have a facebook page and logged onto it once so far this year, and that was only because a pizza place offered me half off my order if I “liked” them.
It’s one of my homepages, but I tend not to read other people statuses. And I haven’t actually been on my computer for weeks. So, yeah, I have one, but I don’t check it very often. There are a few typing games on there I like, but I never let those post to my wall, and I’ve blocked as many of the games as I could catch.
I don’t friend anyone I don’t know, ever, anyone I don’t like, ever, anyone I work with, ever, and I DON’T FRIEND FAMILY, EVER.
If someone posts too many glurgey posts, they’re gone, if someone has to be a dick all the time on any subject, they’re gone.
What remains is a handy way of keeping track of my friendly aquaintences and geographically distant friends.
I have one and sign into it regularly, but almost never post new things. Everything that I ever post is on Google+ now. If you want updates on my life, you check my G+ page and not Facebook.
Pretty much the only reason I am ever on Facebook is…
(glances left)
(glances right)
FarmVille.
(sits here while a number of people point and laugh)
Go ahead, but they weren’t kidding when they say it gets addictive.
I have had one for maybe 5 years and sign in occasionally. I never really “use” it though. I just sign in and read a few status updates that are completely and utterly inane, and then log back out. I have chatted maybe 10 times?
Once upon a time I reconnected with some high school friends, and I think I keep the account around in case anyone else from my past comes knocking. I’ve never changed my status once, and never plan to.
There should be an option about using facebook “sometimes”. I certainly don’t use it often but rarely doesn’t quite ring true either. What is checking it once or twice a week?
I have a Facebook page but it is under a fake name. I don’t want random people checking out my page.* Also I only have around 20 friends (immediate family, close friends). Mostly I use it to play scrabble and a few other games. NOT Farmville. Plus I can stalk my kids.
*I realize they make tons of privacy settings to prevent this, but I like my alias.
My name is SnakesCatLady and I am a Farmville addict.
It’s where the people are. I’m there.
That’s me, and I chose rarely, because some people are on Facebook for hours every day.
Have one, never use it.
I have one that I use almost exclusively for a couple of games (not ones that require friends to play).
