Is there a site or sites that have fact-checks for the speeches Barack and Michelle Obama/Clinton/Ryan/Romney/etc gave? I’m curious whose speeches were more accurate and which were stretches, using hard evidence.
The most well known fact-checking sites are FactCheck, The Washington Post’s Fact Check blog and Politifact.
Here is Politifact’s ongoing “2012 Presidential Election” claims: http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/elections/2012/us-president/
It includes one from Bill last night (rated true) and others from the conventions. So far the only one marked “False” from the DNC is the claim that Romney said he “likes to fire people”.
I don’t see any from Michelle’s speech, but then again there weren’t a lot of “fact-checkable” claims, unless you want to question how bad her dad’s MS was or how poor they really were (which, sadly unsurprisingly, at least one right-wing column did after the speech).
