Italian friends of mine who just got back from vacation (with great tans, by the way) were complaining that their tans have faded due to travelling in an airplane. This is apparently a common belief in Italy. Any truth?
Huh? I can see how you tan would look faded while you were on the airplane due to the lighting.
Traveling in an airplane will not actually cause you skin to change color though.
Airplanes dehydrate the skin, causing the tan to look a bit grey. It’s nothing that some baby oil won’t cure.
