You might want to email a mods to edit your post. Apart from anything else, it’s pushing the boundaries of copyright.
I checked the disclaimer on godhatesfags.com. It said you could use any of their text for any reason. So copyright-wise, I’m safe.
As for emailing the mods, I’d better do that in case any morons can’t seem to understand that I AM NOT TRYING TO MALIGN HOMOSEXUALS. I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THE INFORMATION I FOUND ON THEM IS TRUE OR NOT. I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST GAYS, I THINK THE “FACTS” ARE A LOAD OF COW SHIT. REPEAT, I AM JUST ASKING A QUESTION
I assume that the numbers in square brackets in your post refer to footnotes detailing the “research” being quoted.
The majority of what this site posts is untrue. These people are cruel, hateful and mentally imbalanced. They have very few supporters in the Christian world. These are the folks who show up at funerals of gay men who have died from gaybashing violence or from AIDS, carrying signs saying that they deserved to die. I suspect some of this stuff might be true in the sense that the author has correctly summarized statistical data compiled by reliable sources, but so what? The quoted material, whatever its “accuracy” otherwise, appears to have a “larger” point–which as best I can tell is that we should all hate gay people (because God does(?) or some such rubbish). That “conclusion,” of course, does not follow from the data supplied, no matter how “correct” the underlying data might be. (And surely not all of it is correct.) Such hateful stuff gives statistics a bad name.

Much of what is said could be said of some heterosexuals as well as some homosexuals. This will probably end up being more of a “Great Debate” instead of a “General Question.” Just sayin’.
A few points for the attention of the OP, to whom I will grant the benefit of the doubt and assume that this is not a trolling attempt.
The opening post of this threaed is far too long and unwieldy for anyone to respond to in detail. Do you actually expect any of us to spend the many hours of research required to rebut this pile of hogwash point by point?
An organization called “Godhatesfags” goes searching for data that puts homosexuals in a bad light, and lo and behold, they apparently find it. What a surprise.
Are there sources provided for any of these so-called statistics? Those without source data can be rejected out of hand.
Some of these have been addressed previously in this forum. Learn to use the search function.
Even without doing any research at all, does the statement “Homosexuals account for half the murders in large cities” sound even remotely plausible? Hey, perhaps some fool of a magistrate did say that. But is it true? I sincerely doubt it.
Personally, I think this thread should be locked, as the opening post is likely to be highly offensive to many. It certainly has offended me. If the OP really feels the need to get definitive answers to some of these accusations, I suggest that he/she choose 3-5 at random so that responding point by point is practical.

First of all, this isn’t trolling. I thought I made it perfectly clear that I doubted most of it was true, and that I just wanted to know if it was complete and utter bullshit, or if these statistics do exist, but are severly biased, such as doing a “Who Has AIDS” survey in an AIDS clinic.
1)Some people do. I’ve seen it before. Besides, I underestimated it’s length. Oh well, 20/20 hindsight.

4)I’ve been here since March 2001, and I have a grand total of 20 posts, after I hit Submit Reply for this. I don’t come here much. Besides, the search engiene for this kind of message board is unreliable anyway.

Huh? What is the denominator here? Does somebody know how many gay males there are in a population so they can assign such a percentage? And where did they do this survey? Anyway, I don’t see the need to keep this thread open in GQ. As another poster said, this topic has been discussed and debated ad naseum on the Straight Dope Message Board. Do a search if you really do want to know if people here think it’s “true or not.” - Jill
