Failure to read the OP before responding

For such a sad thread, you’re sure posting a lot in it. And amazingly, a review of your posts (in particular, post 18) suggests that you actually didn’t read this OP before responding. So I’ll put it more succinctly for you:

I’m not pitting anyone who hijacks a thread. Conversations develop – it happens, and it’s part of what makes conversation interesting.

I’m pitting people who hijack threads because they were too lazy to read the body of the OP. Some people put a lot of effort into crafting insightful and comprehensive Original Posts, and it is frustrating to see these ignored.

  1. I did read the OP and gave you a serious answer. You failed to show up after reasonable explanations were presented. I read the original OP and this one, to great amusement. See: Post #3

  2. I decided to mock you, which you invited yourself. See: Post #18

  3. Just because it’s sad doesn’t mean it’s not funny, sport. Lighten up a bit. See: this post.

You’re right. And it was inevitable this thread would include a demonstration.

By the way, I did read the OP in the linked thread. Crazy me, I thought the Title & the OP had something to do with each other, thus inviting a discussion of how perception of luck influences lottery buying habits. I don’t see how my answer was non-responsive, actually.

Here’s a tip: Don’t put a clearly stated question in the title that you don’t want answered.

I didn’t even read the thread at all! What are we talking about? I like potato chips.

Now I’ve read the thread. It was… nice.

I haven’t yet read the OP, but I agree with him when he says that jokes about not reading the OP are already stale.

Based on a quick skim of the thread, are you saying your breath smells like stale potato chips?

Cool.
