FairyChatMom performs unnatural acts...

Tansu - I tossed all of my shoes in my closet and closed the door. Polishing?? yeah, right…

(former)Roommate is at the house today while I am at work (grumble, gnash, snarl). He’s in the process of weeding out all of my old clothes in prep for charity pickup tomorrow.

At least he’s better be. But it’s okay, I took the computer power cord to work with me today, as well as the tv remotes.

As for me, all of the lawyers are out of the office (grnash, snarl, hiss), but ironically, I too can do some housecleaning and finish up some filing that desperately needs to be done.

And with no interruptions!

screech-owl, you reminded me - I bagged up some of hubby’s old clothes for Goodwill. He left the stack when he was packing. Now, if I could just get him to sort thru those 15-y/o shirts that he never wears any more!! I swear, if I hadn’t gotten rid of it just after we married, he’s still have that powder-blue polyester leisure suit!!

Finally did this myself a few months ago. There are two different veteran’s groups which have been calling us for years asking for donations of clothes & household items. They give us a date when they’ll be in the neighborhood and if we think we’ll have anything for them we say so; all I have to do is bag everthing and leave it on the front porch, and sometime during the day they pick it up & leave a receipt for tax purposes. Since in the last two years I’ve switched from wearing regular shirts to polo shirts, I had a closetfull of shirts I never wear. So I finally just gave them everything but a few dress shirts, as well as a bunch of pants that I gave up on ever fitting back into.
I got rid of my powder-blue leisure suit years ago.
In fact, that’s one of the reasons for this weekend’s cleaning jag; one of them is coming by next Thursday so I’m keeping an eye out for anything I can give to them.
Oh, and I did catch hell last night when my wife came down for supper. Which is why I wasn’t able to post again until now - I spent all day today catching up on what I didn’t do yesterday.

FCM - sorry to here you don’t do other houses, mine is so much closer to you than all those other slobs.
PlanWife did do the old-clothes from the closet thing a few days ago (her side). Now we gotta do my side. Our church ladies group has a thrift shop, so the old clothes go there. They make a ton of money selling stuff really cheap one day a week.

Well, I thought it had passed, but it continues… First thing this morning, before breakfast, before my shower, before I even turned on the computer, I cleaned the refrigerator and freezer. Took everything out. Scrubbed all shelves and drawers. Wiped down all the walls. Cleaned the ice maker. Threw away several unrecognizable things. [sub]Please don’t ask how old the cottage cheese was.[/sub]

LurkM - you mean there was more than one light blue polyester leisure suit in the world? <shudder>

PlanMan - even if you lived right next door, it’d be way too far away. Trust me. Tho I would prefer having you next door instead of the psycho bitch, but that’s another story.

Anyway, the bathrooms are taunting me. Streaky mirrors and spotted countertops… what to do, what to do?

Um, FCM, reckon something was in the air? I did a lot of that yesterday, too!

I told you so!!!

How old was the cottage cheese?

[sub]I know you said not to ask you that. I figure that request was there to be disregarded.[/sub]

RTF, haven’t you figured out yet that nothing I say should be disregarded? Criminy, man, you’ve met me! You’ve heard my voice! You’ve watched me eat Cheesy Poofs! And yet you still operate under the notion that something I pronounce can be disregarded?

Indeed…

Update - I’m doing laundry now.

Oh, and I have a new motto:

Clean mind, clean body - take your pick.

In your case, we all know the clean mind isn’t an option. So wash real good, OK?
