People take sabbaticals for all kinds of reasons, business and personal.
Whatever the case might be they ask for it and we do them this service.
It’s as long as she wants it to be, she asked for it and when she wants to come back and post she’ll let us know, that’s how this works.
None of your business to speculate or insinuate or be snarky.
And as it says in the registration agreement:
That gets you warned too, you know. Just sayin’.

I don’t know. We do.
There’s some people that have times when they require an actual physical break from making posts. The reasons are as varied as the people who require them but most often it’s because they have business projects or studies, exams, family issues … they just need to not be posting.
They can always come back when the project is finished or whatever. It’s not a big deal.
Something Awful offers involuntary sabbaticals for posters. This place is very lightly modded by comparison.

If anything should have happened to faithfool, it should have been a warning for junior modding in that pit thread, when she constantly tried to prevent posters posting on-topic.
She prevented nothing. All she did was PM people to politely ask and give some reasons why she was asking.

Pity. Hope she’s back soon, as she’s definitely not Texas trash, which is about as high a compliment someone in Texas can receive from me.
If that’s what she’d done, I’d not have known about it. She repeatedly posted in the thread about it, and in any other thread the constant off topic posts would be considered threadshitting.
