Philly boy, and I remember them well!
LOL cat trees, eh?
Growing up, my dear mother had one on the outside of our home crawling up the wall. We lived in Hershey on 422. I have had cats now for over 15 years and LOVE kitties! My Mom sold her home, she moved twice, and my husband was the only one who took the initiative when I asked him to hang up the cat on the outside of both of her new homes, the last being a rancher. Sadly, my dear Mom passed away in 2007, it took us over a year to settle her estate which was a very sad process. My brother sneakily took down the cat (When he never had the initiative to ever hang it up) and took the cat; never asked anyone else if they wanted it. I am the biggest cat fan in the family, so it is only logical I would love to have it.
SINCE HE TOOK IT, I CANNOT FIND ANOTHER ONE. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND ONE??? Hers was a black ceramic cat, flat on the underside, with it’s tail curled hanging down and its black and white face looking up the wall.
Anyone know where to buy one, please let me know!! I have scoured the internet, called local garden shops, etc to no avail.
In the late '60s to '70s my grandmother had a couple of ceramic cats climbing up the front of the house. None on the roof, though. I’m in Massachusetts.
I have a tin roof. It can be hot in the summer. Do I need a cat for it?
Only if they would be sharing it with a fiddler.
The neighbor had a fake squirrel on her shutters.
They also had the pink flamingos.
For anyone that knows, how are these wall climbing cats installed?
Look at this cute kitty weather vane!

I made the ones for my sister because neither she nor I could find any. She did manage to score one, but I don’t know where she got it. There’s at least one house in my county that has a pair of them, but you hardly ever see them any more.
