Fall Hike near Dayton (Ohio)

I’m going to stay home and knit myself a big sissy hat.

Gee, a big girl like you slort, I’d figure you to be into crochet, not knitting. Shows what I know, huh?

Yes, it’s still on my calendar, in ink and everything. I’m planning to be there, bright and early at the crack of 10. With a mug. But no hat. Because I don’t own a hat. I suppose I could buy a hat. I probably need one. But it’s early in the morning, and taking time to go buy a hat would be losing time I could be spending asleep. We’ll see. I wish it wouldn’t rain, which means it probably will.

FQ, which part of Cincinnati are you coming up from?

Scenic Price Hill.

Are there any good taquerias there yet? And did Elder win tonight or Colerain?

FWIW we ate at a nice little Peruvian restaurant in Springdale tonight. Even The Boy loved it. Very yummy! Who knew there would ever be a Peruvian restaurant in the greater Cincinnati area?

Have a good time, everyone. I’m feeling all nostalgic for YS. Our Young’s runs from Wittenberg generally took place around 3am. Is the Winds Cafe still open?

Young’s is open at 3 am? Sheesh. Anyway, just checking in for last minute instructions. It appears that Sunday might have been a better day for hiking, “wather”-wise.

Last minute instructions:

We’re probably just meeting in Yellow Springs, have a cuppa cocoa and then scoot back to the Air Force Museum. It’s an extra 15 minutes out, but whatcha gonna do? (Did you hear that Blackclaw?)

Now, there’s a chance the wather system is limited to right over my house, but odds are it’s a true “weather” system and it’ll reach all the way to Yellow Springs. I was thinking ahead. That’s why I had the “Bail out” trip to the museum all lined up too.

Got it.

Hey, enough picking on the Dayton girl!

I’m not coming because my father-in-law is in the hospital and I’m going to visit, and it’s all the way over in Indianapolis, so there!

I was thinking about going, but realized none of you know me at all and I might be the odd one out. Maybe I’ll go to the next one, if I manage to post more between now and then.

Anyway, have fun!
