Family Feud XIV - the sports edition

Even though I have no chance of winning

[bump]

SSG Schwartz

The flow of responses seems to have dried up.

I’ll leave this one more day, and if we don’t have 50 responses by then, I’ll just multiply by 100/(number of responses) rather than by 2.

  1. Dominican Republic
  2. Bobby Orr
  3. Babe Didrikson
  4. Kick returner
  5. 4
  6. St. Louis
  7. Arthur Ashe
  8. Gator Bowl
  9. Yankee Stadium
  10. Green Bay

OK, I know when I’m licked. I obviously don’t have what it takes to fashion a feud game that attracts 50 responses. Instead of 2, the number of answers will be multiplied by 2.25, and rounded off to the nearest whole number. (BTW, the ties are actual exact ties, none created by rounding.) Final results:

For what it’s worth, I thought your game was a good one and I enjoyed participating.

I started a new non-theme game.

Hey,

Even adding up my answer totals I managed not to come in last.

How did that happen

Damn, get to sports and I do worse. This was a fun one cmkeller.

see? last. toldyaso.

Me too – I thought that was a great one. Thanks.

Nice, I finally got one! This was a good category, too bad we didn’t get more responses.

I liked it too. And…Charlotte has an NBA team again? I guess that shows how much attention I pay to pro sports these days.

Thank you, CM. First time for me and I think my position says it all. I was so sure when I typed my answers though!

::Goes off in hunt for next feud thread…::

I enjoyed it, too, even though I know virtually nothing about sports and even less about international sports.

And look, I didn’t even come in dead last!

Slight nitpick - the Citrus Bowl and Capital One Bowl should really have been counted separately; they’re two different games that just happen to be played in the same stadium.

Really Not All That Bright:

That’s not the impression I got from this Wikipedia article. If the article is wrong, or I misinterpreted it, I apologize.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.

No, you’re absolutely right, actually.

I had just woken up… was thinking of the Champs Sports Bowl/Capital One Bowl.
