Family Feud!

Oh good - I was waiting for “pants” to come up. That strikes off a lot of my (wrong) ideas for answers for my next turn

I figured saying that much didn’t count as a hint. A hint would be something like …

Oh puh-leeze, you really think I’d give my former Blue teammates a hint? grin

BUMP

Has a rule been set for waiting for a team member to show up?

Someone said 36 hours, which seems fair to me. That would be 3 AM EDT.

I’ll check the thread in the morning.

I don’t see any activity here from our missing Blue Member.

My guess would be chairs.

Chairs? :dubious:
Things that come in pairs

  7. Skis
  8. Speakers
  9. Kneepads/elbow pads

_______ Bonus list (2 points each) __________

X: Earplugs
X: Pants
X: Chairs

There are 9 points up for grabs – Red, start caucusing.

How about:

skates

hands/feet

dice

flippers

I really like **Dice ** for the answer. It has my vote. Good guess.

I’ve been thinking dice myself.

Other than that: eyes, ears.

Dice was my choice, too- but I didn’t want to influence the vote!

I’m wondering about the rules during the “take the points” section.

The rounds have so far been started by the blue team but the red team has taken the points by giving one correct answer.

The current round has 30 possible answers and the blue team got 9. So the red team has to get only one of the remaining 21 to get all the points.

I think the red team should be required to give an answer in one of the top 5 of the remaining blanks in order to get all the points. In this case, an answer in the 6, 7, 10, 11, 12 position.

I hope I don’t sound like a spoil sport by mentioning this. This would apply for both teams when the situation arises.

What do you all think?

You sound like a spoil sport only because Blue team has chosen to go first each time.

They have had the option of passing. It should not be changed until after this round at the soonest.

Jim

It’s merely a suggestion. And of course, I wouldn’t want the rules to change in the middle of a round. The game is fun as it is now anyway.

Well, we definitely can’t change horses in midround.

And, much as I love the Blue Team, I’ve got to agree with What Exit? – if Blue sees a long list, knows I wrote the damn list and therefore it’s probably a bit challenging  , wnd chooses to play … they’ve got to risk getting their points stolen.

Perhaps all the list lengths should be standardized- maybe 10 or 12 answers, that way Blue team- um, I mean whichever team goes first- has a fighting chance of winning a round.

That’s what I wanted to explain, but failed miserably. Thanks IvoryTower.

You betcha’

Now- when does red get to steal all those lovely points???

**Ivory Tower’s ** suggestion has much merit me thinks. We should have others weigh in on it tomorrow.

Is it finally time to play again? I vote for shorter lists just so that we get more chances to guess!

And as for guessing…

I’ve got a brand-new pair of roller skates, you’ve got a brand-new key…

Hmph. Ingrates. My lists are too long? But they’re freakin’ brilliant!

Sorry, folks – it’s the years at the puzzle factory. I’m used to coming up with long, long lists and editing them down according to the specific needs of the puzzle. With this format – and an hour-plus-each-way commute to ruminate – I tend to get a trifle carried away.

How 'bout – ten items max on the list, and the rest on the bonus list? puppy dog eyes
