There was a question on the list and how I put it together:

  • IMDB list of Emmy awards for Sitcoms
  • TV Guide Polls of greatest sitcoms
  • Jump the Shark Never Jumped list.
  • I pushed WKRP off the list as it was as it was more an 80s show than 70s show.
  • Keeping in mind Critical praise. Maude makes the list despite my not liking the show and Sanford and Son was not really very good for any amount of time but got some nominations and I like to make the 10th spot a little odd. I was surprised so many picked it. Threes Company was never very big with the Critics, though it got some Emmy nominations. If it was just a list of my favorites, SOAP would have made it and the Jeffersons would have made it. Chico and the Man almost made it. Mork had such a short run and only two good seasons. Rhoda could have made it, I did not see many Emmy noms for it or that it was high on TV guide lists.

I hope this helps, remember in the end, the lists are arbitrary and I need them to be arbitrary. The game won’t work if I use a single established list. I hope everyone is still having fun.

Wow! I’m interested (once again) to see the #1 and #2 games if Monopoly is #3!

(By the way, What Exit…don’t think I am complaining/griping/questioning your boards. I think every game you’ve done is completely fair, fun and challenging and we’re all having a good time. I am just a curious person and love to learn new little surprises!)
