Yep. The whole purpose of ipecac is to make you vomit. People keep it on hand in case they need to induce vomiting in the event of a poisoning or overdose. (Note: With some kinds of poisoning, to induce vomiting is the appropriate first aid, but with other kinds it can make things worse. When in doubt, call the poison control center of your local hospital.)
