Do actors and actresses have a rate of divorce and/or separation higher than regular non famous people? Or does it just seem so because its high news?

The Paul McCartney - Heather somethingsomething one has great potential to be one of the best. It is getting really interesting.
The Lee Marvin - Michelle Triola “divorce” in 1977 was a landmark case. It was the first prominent case in which a woman brought a man to court for alimony despite not having been legally married to him. This opened up a whole new field in divorce cases (despite the fact that Triola lost her case and collected nothing).
Elizabeth Taylor may have some experience in this area.
