I saw O, brother where art thou again, and it struck me how much George Clooney looked like Clark Gable.
You knows made for TV things about the lives of someone famous. I was thinking that Clooney would be the obvious choice for such a thing. What others are there?
When seeing Velvet Goldmine I was thinking that Ewan McGregor would make an excellent Kurt Cobain. And Kate Winslet should really play the part of an 80’s Madonna.
To continue the Slater chain, there’s a kid in the movie Loser (2000) who could play a young Christian Slater, or perhaps, a really young Nicholson. That picture doesn’t really do it justice.
I think Gilbert Gottfried once played Jerry Seinfeld in an episode of the animated CLERKS. It makes sense; the Seinfeld voice he does in his standup routine is incredible.
Callista Flockhart as Audrey Hepburn. No, seriously. I’m not a fan of Flockhart’s, but she looks a LOT like her. There was even a picture taken of her made up to look like Hepburn and the resemblance was uncanny.
Although if I were casting, I’d want to cast Natalie Portman as Audrey.
A few years ago, after Interview with a Vampire, Premiere Magazine did an interview and photo spread of Brad Pitt. He still had his long IWAV hair, but he’d bleached it blond and he was pretty scruufy-looking. Holy crap did he he ever look like Kurt Cobain!
I also agree with Bowie as Warhol in Basquiat. He was perfect.
