Well, today’s my birthday and according to the links, no one famous died the day I was born.
I was born during World War II 27 days after D-Day and I sometimes wonder how many lives ended that day that would have accomplished great and beautiful things but for humankind’s (especially Hitler’s) incredible defectiveness. Calls to mind the Blood, Sweat and Tears tune “…and when I die, and when I’m dead, dead and gone, there’ll be one child born to carry on…” I heard it on the radio today.
I was born during the Tet Offensive in the Viet Nam War. Specifically when I was emerging, screaming from my mother’s womb, about 3,800 people were being killed during the Massacre at Hue.
