Kindertrauma agrees. Reader even mentions Watership Down too. As I recall it they only showed that scene in shadow, but I remember Peter Ustinov’s character saying, “Unhitch him!” and hearing the old toy pleading, “No, no! I’ll work!”
I’d still recommend it though (just not for really little kids).
I watched the movie because of this thread. It is a good movie, unique, and has unusual and exciting visuals. It is a very slowly paced movie at times, and the thing that is missing is any character development, or emotional payoff. The best developed character is the young female Draag who is looking after the baby who is the main character, but when he runs away, she is never mentioned again.
