That’s a good point. I think Gonzalez will take some of White’s looks, he’ll still be very productive if he stays healthy.

Doubtless he’ll take some of the looks, but I bet he’ll take even more of the coverage. Remember, White was the Falcons’ only legitimate receiving threat last season- Michael Jenkins caught 50 passes, but only because White drew double coverage on every play. Atlanta’s tight ends combined for 19 catches.

We start 2 with a flex. I usually try to keep a RB in the flex spot because they’re usually more reliable with points. I got burned last year when Barber, Addai, and Parker were beat up and only Chris Johnson was doing anything for me. Unfortunately, I also had Boldin injured too. Knocked me out of all playoff contention. While McCoy and Bell aren’t going to be playing much normally, Westbrook and Bush get beat up a lot and could get them playing time when I need them.

I’m not the only team with 6 RB’s and not the only one going to hold them to keep them out of the hands of people needing them later on.

If I owned Westbrook in that league I’d probably be willing to offer you a lot for McCoy.

10 team, PPR league. I had pick #4 in a snake draft. Projected Starters in all CAPS and bold. I took LT at #4.

In a 10-team league you really ought to have two running backs you know will start, instead of one who will and one who probably will. Remember, Denver has like 90 tailbacks on the roster, and there’s no guarantee that Moreno will start (and that he won’t end up in a three-back timeshare.)

Since you’ve got Lynch it probably won’t matter, but still.

I’d also be very, very leery about going into the season without a better backup quarterback. I don’t think he is going to hold up for another full season (given his age and injury history) and I don’t think much of either Orton or Flacco fantasywise.

Your wideouts are great, though.

Someone snatched Aaron Rodgers one pick before I took Warner. I took a chance that Flacco might have a good year. He doesn’t have a lot of weapons, but he’s looked pretty good this preseason.

I’m definitely weak at RB. I went RB/WR/WR and by the 4th round there wasn’t much left so I grabbed Lynch hoping he’ll come in Week 4 fresh and on a mission. I grabbed Sproles in Rd 10 to handcuff LT and when Moreno was still there in 11 I took him, hoping he’ll get a lot of touches in the beginning of the year. But RB could be my downfall.

Take my opinion as you would a grain of salt. But, for what it’s worth, here you go:

Too much risk for me. I like LT to have a bounce back year, and Megatron should be an absolute stud, so your first two rounds went well. But with Lynch being suspended for the first three games and Moreno in a crowded backfield coming back from an injury and being a rookie, you don’t really have a #2 RB to start the season. I also think Warner (who was a stud for me last year) carries a ton of risk because of his age/injury history, and his backups do nothing for me. I also think that Bryant and Breaston won’t be nearly as productive this year, but Holt may bounce back. If he gets someone to lend him their 25 year old knees to go with his old body, that is.

All in all, with Warner/LT/CJ, you will have a chance most weeks, and once Lynch gets back and Moreno gets healthy, you’ll be even more competitive. But I think it will be a rough start to the season and with a lack of depth, there may be problems as the season goes on.

But, like I said, what do I know? Good luck and let us know how it goes!

You might want to trade for Fred Jackson just in case Lynch doesn’t have a starting job anymore when he gets back.

Is that Calvin Johnson or Chad, by the way?

Chad is OchoCinco, not Johnson. The change is good for fantasy confusion if nothing else.

Oh yeah. Wonder how long it will be before the NFL makes him change back again.

Thanks, that’s pretty much the way I see it. I need to get past the first 3 weeks without being in too big a hole. I had to choose between Forte and LT at #4, and went with my gut. Before he got hurt I thought Moreno had a chance to be an impact rookie, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I think Megatron and Boldin will be productive.

He’s legally changed his last name to OchoCinco. So the NFL won’t be making him do anything with his last name.

He legally changed his name to OchoCinco last time too and they made him change it.

By the way, SY: I think you made the smart choice by taking LT over Forte.

They didn’t make him change it. He was going to be liable for all the unsold jerseys in his given name and decided against using his new name until the start of the next season to avoid paying for them.

So, I’ve been offered D. McFadden for Orton and Sproles. Those of you that have seen my team (above) know I need a starting RB, but do I give up my handcuff for LT? Is it better to have a starter over insurance? I don’t care about giving up Orton.

If you don’t care about Orton, then this deal is McFadden for Sproles. You do that trade. He may be getting value out of Orton, but now you have an open roster slot and an upgrade where you needed it. Is Fred Jackson available to back up Lynch while he’s out?

That’s kind of the way I’m leaning. Straight up, Mcfadden for Sproles is a good deal. I’m just concerned about LT’s health.

Ah.

I’m not particularly big on McFadden. The Raiders were somewhat competitive last year and were able to put up big rushing totals quite often because they weren’t down by two touchdowns in the second half of every game.

It looks entirely possible that this year’s team will be down by three touchdowns going into the second half of every game…

Taking that into account, the complete lack of any passing threat, the probable time-share with Michael Bush and Justin Fargas, and the fact that they lost Jake Grove (one of the better centers in the league and an excellent drive blocker) in free agency… McFadden is going to suck. Oh, and the guy had one really good game last season. In Week 2. He did have a two-score game later in the year but he only ran for 3.8 YPC on 10 carries that game, so it wasn’t like he was playing well.

In all honesty, if there’s a Raiders back worth drafting, it’s Bush. He gives you the same potential for a 1,000 yard season*, but costs a 12th-round draft pick instead of a 4th-rounder.

*that is, praying that one or both of the other two guys gets injured.

ETA: If I owned LT - as you do - I wouldn’t trade Sproles for McFadden. However, I would explore the possibility of making another trade with the guy, because he apparently overvalues Sproles.

Double ETA: I’d rather have Moreno or Lynch than McFadden, too. I’d just make a deal for Fred Jackson and leave it at that if I were you.

Things changed fast. I mentioned the potential trade to another owner, and he countered with giving me Cedric Benson for Torry Holt. I took it. I’m certainly not that high on Benson, but I only gave up a WR that probably wouldn’t get off my bench. Benson’s a starter, so if I need to use him before Lynch returns (it now look slike Moreno might be ready Week 1) I have some insurance. And I keep Sproles.
