There’s quite a few “newsreader farts on TV” videos out there but has this really happened? I need cheering up so I’d like to see one.
I checked out a few on YouTube, and they all appear to be dubbed, with the sound timed to coincide with the newsreaders reacting to some other event. I can’t say it’s never happened, but it seems unlikely. All the newsreaders I’ve seen are outfitted with lapel microphones, with the sound level adjusted for the fact that their mouth is about ten inches from it; a newsreader’s ass is about three times as far away, muffled by layers of clothing, and on the opposite side of the body, so any fart would have to be tremendously loud to be picked up by that mic.
It’s unlikely the microphone would pick it up. They have limited range and are situated near the newscaster’s mouth, since that’s where they usually speak from.
Except for <insert network here> where they all speak out of their ass.
consider weather caster are standing up with their ass to the wind (ha almost punny twice).
Agreed. The pun per sentence-length efficiency is admirable.
Not by a news reader but this one may cheer you up. Seems real.
