Fascist anti-Israel demonstrators

Fuck them.

Trying their best to disrupt a peaceful pro-Israel demonstrator in Copenhagen they turn up making the Nazi salute and chanting and shouting into microphones: “Down with Israel. Down with the USA. Down with Denmark. Down with democracy” & “We will kill all Jews. All Jews should be murdered. They have no right to exist!” as well as some Arab thing, which I’ve been told is something like “Khaybar, Khaybar, Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.” which is supposed to be a reference to an episode where Muhammed slaughtered a Jewish town. After some clashes with the police the anti-Israel demonstrators proceed to march through Copenhagen, throwing rocks and other things (& pulling a mother and her child out of a car). Until about 75 of them were arrested.

And lets not forget the unique Palestinian contribution to humanity: dressing your kids up as suicide bombers: http://beeqube.com/picdump/pal1.jpg

Some video-footage:

  • Because, that’s going to win you so much support, respect and admiration.

Every race, religion and creed has it’s idiots.

This one is just weird…

Good Movie.

No shit. You don’t say?! Is that your standard answer to all pit threads? Only these shit heads have a special place in my heard since I met them. (I even greeted them courteously with a “shalom”). Later I told one of them who was standing alone, that his mother was a pig. He fumed a bit and fumbled for his mobile phone. These kinds of idiots are most formidable in groups.

Is it OK for me to be pro-Jew but anti-Zionist? Should I be labelled anti-semitic if some of my best friends are Jews, but I condemn the actions of the Israeli military in their actions in Gaza? Is there any way of finding a middle ground?

:dubious:

Well gee, I don’t know. :dubious:
Do you greet your friends with a Nazi salute?
Do you go around and say Seig Heil?
Do you wish for and make public your intention to kill all Jews?
Do you think it is your right to use violence to disrupt other peoples’ peaceful demonstrations?
Do you dress your kids up as suicide terrorists?

If you can say yes to most of the above then you should probably be labelled worse things than a mere anti-Semitic.

LOL. London is slum

 Are you saying Naomi Klein is an idiot because she opposes the occupation?

Nothing in your linked youtube video indicated any of the above. Apart from a near-constant chant of ‘Free, free Palestine’ and some unnecessary aggro towards the coppers, there was no mention whatsoever of anti-semitic propaganda alluded to.

Care to explain??

What occupation in particular? There are so many to choose from which she opposes. But no. I was just following TwistofFate’s non-sequitur example of pulling up some completely random idiot from around the globe. A random sample of idiots always likely to include a Canadian, since they are so remarkable overrepresented. I could of course also give you a completely random Dane: Olav Nielsen – see that is another merely anti-Zionist, whom just happen to be school master of a public school, of which he refuse Jews to enrol. Oh and he is a public signatory of the boycott Israel campaign too. Anti-Zionist you see.

Although I personally prefer: David Miliband. It shall certainly not be said that I don’t think islamist don’t do some public good on occasion. Perhaps I should buy my own batch of Islamists on EBay, to settle my problems with the tax authorities once and for all.

So, did you miss the first post. The OP?

The specific type of person you are refering to doesn’t give a fuck about the above.

They have been racicalised by their leaders and the actions of Israel/US/Allies and concerns about the above are the last thing on their mind.

They are a tiny subset of the population though and should be treated as such and not used a stick to beat the whole movement. Lots of people protested against Isreali actions peacefully and within the law and their rights.

I was just confused, b/c I clicked on her website and the first thing I saw (other than, of course, a blurb for her globalization stuff) was an op-ed she wrote calling for a boycott of Israel. You do seem to be equating anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism, but frankly it’s hard to tell because of your annoyingly snide posting style. If you want to call anti-Zionists anti-Semites, at least have the balls to come out and do it like xtisme. If you don’t, then great; I have no quarrel with you.

You added the link to your post responding to me regarding

I thought it might have actually pertained to my query. Seems not. You are just as stupid and frothingly rabid as those Palestinians/sympathisers you condemn.

I have written nothing about anti-Semitism - someone else brought it up - and don’t even know what Zionism (or anti-Zionism) is supposed to mean in 2009. Zionism is as relevant as Isis worship. Anti-Zionism means nothing to me. I’m merely pitting people who threaten peaceful demonstrators with violence and death and proceed to wreck my town.

No, just my standard answer to your usual “I hate palestinians” threads.

People who give a shit about either Israel or Palestine are a tiny subset of the population. However while all the pro-Israel demonstrations around Europe seem to proceed peacefully without any burning flags or cars, calls for murder of anybody, clashes with the police, etc. the pro-Palestinian demonstrations unwarily seem to descend into mob riot. In Copenhagen, Oslo, London, Paris, Brussels, Nice, etc. Why is it pro-Israel demonstrators must have heavy police protection from pro-Palestinian demonstrators and not vice-versa. It’s an old discussion, but I still hold that as long as a group is willing to accept such opinions as part of the parcel, then they are going to be judged by it. Your choice of friends reflect back on you. Mona Sahlin, the leader of the Swedish Social Democrats marched in a demonstration featuring Hezbollah flags and burning Israeli flags. Whatever she thinks of that, then it reflects back on her, just as much as it would if she had participated in a demonstration with the KKK.

Well I promise you that next time a pro-Israel demonstration in Copenhagen turns into mob riot, death threats, burning flags, broken windows and hurling rocks then I’m going to open a scalding “I hate Israelis” thread.

By your reasoning, to disenfranchise any given cause or protest, all that needs to happen is for some loonies to espouse it too.

I don’t know how many protests you’ve been on, but they’re always hijacked by nutters, or more charitably, there is a breadth of viewpoint, from moderate to extreme. When I marched against the Poll Tax in 1990, there were leafleteers for Free Bus Passes For Multiracial Communities, Equal Rights for One-Legged Dwarf Chimpanzees, and even The Socialist Worker. Seriously, though, and worse, there were a bunch of seriously violent anarchists, who, together with the Metropolitan Police riot squad, turned the march into a vast riot.

It did not negate the cause, though.

While I agree it is rather foolhardy for a politician to be seen in the company of flag-burning Jihadists, I do not agree that the march should be cancelled just because they turn up.

As for why the pro-Israel marches don’t degenerate, a couple of suggestions. 1. Israel has the upper hand, by a long, long way; the supporters are by no means as angry; 2. supporters of the status quo tend to be calmer anyway; 3. Pro-Palestinian groups by default will contain Islamist and Jihadist nutters - but this still doesnt’ negate the cause; 4. importantly, the pro-Israel marches are much, much smaller.

The fascists you mention? Fuck knows. Bunch of nutjobs.

BTW interestingly, segments of the Northern Irish Loyalists are allied with British fascist groups, who I don’t doubt are allied to their Danish counterparts; and yet Loyalists occasionally fly Israeli flags in solidarity. A conflict of interest, surely.

I understand this is what you get when you translate World’s Wildest Police Videos into Japanese and back.
Anyway, groups always tend toward the idiotic, because once in a group, the only way to stand out is to be more outrageous then your fellow group-slugs. One guy sarcastically says something about Nazis, then another jokingly gives a salute, then another earnestly gives a salute, then it’s Sieg Heil all over the place with everybody trying to outdo his buddy.
