"Fat man in a little coat"

From Tommy Boy. In the hotel room, Tommy puts on Richard’s coat and starts singing “Fat man in a little coat . . . Fat man in a little coat” until he rips it.

The thing is that I swear I’ve heard the melody somewhere before, like Tommy’s taking a popular song and making up his own words to it. Can anyone help me out, or am I imagining things?

If it’s another song, I don’t know what it is. I do know it’s “Fat guy…”

Don’t know the answer, but you can hear the a snippet from the movie here.

I always thought it sounded like the melody of “Sweet Dreams” by the Eurythmics.

Hey I can get a pretty good look at a T-bone by looking up a bulls ass…

:stuck_out_tongue:

“Hey, I can get a good look at a T-bone but sticking my head up a butcher’s ass…”

I’m dying. I love Tommy Boy and I love that line. I’m obsessed with playing that sound clip now. Thanks for giving me a way to waste some time this aft! lol!

Did you live under power lines as a kid, or something?

“I can take a shit in a box and mark it “guaranteed”…I got spare time.”

Nitpicking myself:

" Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time."

No, wait. It’s gotta be your bull…
