Anyone tried this other than me? I picked it up a couple of weeks ago after hearing about it on Extra Credits, and, truthfully, a game about desperately trying to rescue humanity from global collapse has no business being this engaging.
I just beat the third scenario (“Fuel Shortage”) after a LOT of tries (Probably on the order of 20 or so?) and it was a darn near thing, featuring frantic Sulfate Aerosol deployment in 3 or 4 regions in 2015 to keep us from creeping up the last few fractions of a degree to 3 degrees of warming.
While I don’t feel like I’m precisely GOOD at this yet, everytime I play, I learn something new about how things connect together. Even if some of those plays do involve massive global famine (“Millionaires starving in Europe!”) or thermonuclear discharge (That’s the last time I let stability slip in Russia!).
Maybe I’m the sort of liberal hippie this game is aimed at, I dunno, but I’m sure liking it a lot.
