I find it difficult to feel sorry for either party. I would not want anyone harmed but neither seem as if they have a lot to offer to society.

The deceased ran out onto a multi-lane highway at midnight wearing nothing but a blanket, laid down in the center lane, and then later attacked a car that slowed down for him. The dumbass was going to get killed that night no matter what, and it sounds like dumb luck that the person who did it was someone who shouldn’t have been driving.
The only way this could have been improved is if, after hitting the pedestrian, the driver lost control and was killed when his car struck a bridge.
I’m not sure whether I’m glad or sad to see that places other than the US have such winners in their population. We get enough bad press that it’s easy to begin to believe that we have a corner on that market.
And it’s sad that we are exporting it. Look at the picture of the guy. I thought he was an L. A. gangbanger until I read the story and realized it was set in Australia.

Here in the U.K. there has been an explosion of young males being stabbed to death.
Knives have always been alien to English culture,indeed anyone who carried one was considered a coward but that has all changed.
Every time a teenager is killed its made out to be that he was just a totally innocent victim in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Dont get me wrong some of them are and its heartbreaking to hear about their losing their young lives.
But one bloke of Nigerian family died like that and the papers were full of the fact that he had never been a member of the south London black gangs,indeed his mother insisted on it.
And it was true he wasn’t and had never been a member of any gang.
He was however a member of a "Music Collective"that when they weren’t being creative musically were using extreme violence on other "music collectives "and on a regular basis indulging in drug sales,street robbery and various other activities.
A couple of weeks ago there was a big headline about another teenager,“Killed for giving a hard look”…
Except that when you read the story it was a case that,the group of teenagers that the “victim” was with were on a London bus that passed another group of teens on mountain bikes,they exchanged hard stares.
The boys on the bikes stopped and cycled back,the boys on the bus got off and met the other boys in the park and then it all happened .
What can I say?
Nonsense. The one comment this matter can be summed up in is: idiots who take to laying out in the middle of a highway deserve what they get.
Yeah, that kid was an idiot, but most people are idiots when they’re 16. It’s just too bad that this kid’s particular brand of idiocy had permanent consequences.
Some kids vent their teen angst by writing bad poetry or “cutting”. Other kids make the mistake of venting their teen angst by laying down on the highway. The only difference is that this poor kid will never get a chance to grow out of that phase.
This article makes it sound like he was trying to be a good dad, so it really is unfortunate that the baby will grow up without a dad because of that spontaneous act of idiocy.
It also says he was killed while crossing the road, so there is more than a bit of disparity between the two stories.

But seriously - he runs out of the house dressed in a blanket, lies down in the road, and punches a car? Why do I get the feeling this is not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree?
Methinks anyone who takes up with a girl named Sincerely and names the result Breeze is doomed sooner or later. How does his girlfriend sign her letters (assuming she can read or write) - “Sincerely, Sincerely”?

Riiiight. Because that is such a common occurance.
Where to begin. First, a 16 year old is not a father. At best he was a minor who molested another minor. 2nd, the best picture they could find of this Darwin Award winner is him flashing gang symbols? 3rd, he left the house naked and laid in the middle of a highway at night in a blanket. He committed suicide and managed to drag someone else into the deal. What a complete fuckup. He did his biological daughter a favor.
Not that I think the driver is a saint but all he did was drive over blanket in the middle of the road at night. Unless they have evidence that a person was visible in the road he is being punished for someone else’s suicide.

I actually know a guy (21 years old) whose father was 16 when he was born. He’s actually a very good father.
However, from everything I can discern, the guy in the linked article is trash, and certainly not worthy of that title.
Is it really “molestation” if they’re both underage? Why did he molest her but not the other way around?
I’ll concede I’m casting stones. It’s sad to see a child spin completely out of control. It didn’t happen yesterday and there’s a whole support system of misery behind him.
Y’all are awfully harsh. A kid did something astonishingly unfortunate. I assume he was either under the influence of something or otherwise mentally unstable-- people don’t lie down in the highway for shits and giggles. Sucks bigtime in many ways, but it doesn’t mean he yielded his worth as a human being.

Yeah, this thread is really disturbing. My oldest friend has a son who, when he was 6 years old, got mad about something and went storming out the front door, then laid down in the middle of the street, saying he wanted a car to drive over him.
He was 6.
I guess if he’d have been run over, he’d’ve been the scum of the earth deserving of scorn and ridicule, huh. Too bad for all you moral jurists that he wasn’t killed, but ultimately determined to have bipolar disorder, so you don’t have him to kick around in this thread.
