Maybe it’s changed. I’ll have to re-taste all varieties again.
It is hard to find, but there is good BBQ in the bay area. Memphis Minnies is the best in San Francisco proper. If you are up for the trek, Bo’s BBQ in Lafayette is the pinnacle. There are some decent spots in the east bay as well, like KCs or Everett & Jones. Doug’s never impressed me much, fwiw.
Brady, TX is home to the annual World Championship BBQ Goat Cook-Off. Good stuff.
