Favorite 70s Live Concerts Available on YouTube?

Last night, this was so great, I listened to it twice. Danny (drummer) is on fire, and the rest of the band is as well. You can feel it with their exuberance, especially the vocalists, adding a lot of extra OOMPH, many times out of excitement… There were a handful of times I screamed aloud out of pure excitement. Lots of your favorite songs “changed up” a bit… different rhythm, adding/improvising here and there.

And the audio is Soundboard - great quality.

The Cramps playing at the Napa State Mental Hospital in 1978 is one of my most favorite things ever.

One i regularly go to … Supertramp, 1977

Probably the most underrated band. Rick and Roger were so complementary. I saw Roger Hodgson three times, and I can’t believe he can still sing those high notes perfectly.

The Who - TANGLEWOOD 1970 (Full Concert) - YouTube /

I’ll probably see some of these again… Been a long time since I rock and rolled with them.

Here’s my favorite Doors show (Detroit, 1970, Cobo)… Most of the shows from 1970 are very high quality… The fans were loving it so much, Jim told them, “We’ll play more, but don’t let them remove us off stage” or something… “We’ll pay the bread” (fine)… They were banned for life for playing a bit over. I wish I was there. Too bad they hardly ever played outside. I guess Jim liked the tension.

Heheh, I have that on DVD. Love it.

My submission is this Bo Diddley clip that from '73. He ruled, and was an amazing performer late into his life.

Earth Wind and Fire live at Budokan 1979. You’re welcome.

Come for the deep funk, stay for the pants.

It’s not a full concert (and I posted it before, on the sad occasion of Wilko’s death) but it is 14 minutes of greatness:

I found a better version of the first show

Led Zeppelin LIVE In Bloomington 1/18/1975 NEW SOUNDBOARD REMASTERED

https://youtu.be/CDeXt7cPxXo

My BIL was a head stagehand at a number of venues in Philadelphia. He hired me for summer jobs in ‘74 and ‘75. I worked mainly at the Academy of Music and at an open-air venue at Penn’s Landing (notable concerts included Chubby Checker and Renaissance). I also worked David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs concert at the Tower Theater. Great guy! (I still have a program with a nice note he wrote to me somewhere). Bowie had a special affinity for Philly.

I didn’t work the Spectrum (BIL did), but I attended this concert with my first girlfriend. It was my favorite concert, along with Yes at JFK Stadium.

Love Led Zeppelin, but '75 was not a good year for them live. Jimmy Page was playing with a broken ring finger/descending into heroin addiction and Robert Plant’s voice was shot.

How cool! History appreciates all the comments on here (and YouTube) of those who lived during the 60/70s and could have experienced all the greatness first-hand.

Yeah. Jimmy’s playing was sloppy (outside of the very beginning) but the sound quality is real good. Plant blew out his voice in Japan of 72’, I think.

Do you have any you’d recommend? I’ve been a Zep fan since 14, and even owned the site ledzeppelinbootlegs.com in the 90s/00s
