Favorite Beatles Album

I I do not disrespect the opinion, but I am insanely puzzled by the adulation of Revolver. Someone please explain to me the big deal. I own about 5 Beatles albums. This is my bottom one. Someone mentioned Love, Rigby and Tomorrow. Those are the three songs on the album that I think showed the Beatles doing something as artists. The rest sound… Ahem, trying to stay polite.

Please explain what the hell is so good about this album!

It’s a tossup between The White Album and Abbey Road. If I had to pick one, though, I’d go with The White Album.

No one has mentioned Help? Awesome stuff.

Followed by *Let It Be.[i/] Then Abbey Road

Revolver all the way, followed by a 2-way tie for second between Rubber Soul and Abbey Road, followed by a, lemmee see, nine-way tie for third between everything else except Yellow Submarine, which is fourth.

I have three favorites that change basicly daily. As of right now its 1)White 2)Abbey Road 3)Revolver.

Earl off CC, I can’t explain “Revolver.” I didn’t really like it until I fell in love. One spring day I was walking down the street and the song “Good Day, Sunshine” popped into my head. Since then I’ve loved it.

Sgt Pepper, closely followed by The White Album (which could have been the top choice if they had pruned it a bit).

Favourite songs:

  1. She’s leaving home (I love it. Sue me)
  2. Blackbird
  3. Eleanor Rigby
  4. Lucy in the sky with diamonds
  5. A day in the life
  6. The ballad of John and Yoko
  7. Yesterday
  8. Strawberry fields forever
  9. Penny Lane
  10. If I fell

In the past I’ve said Revolver, mainly because I never heard it as a kid so it was less familiar, but now I find I’ve changed my mind, it actually ties second with Sgt Pepper after an 4-way tie of:

Hard Days Night
Help
Rubber Soul
Abbey Road

I can not separate them, sorry

I’m not sure where I fit the White Album in, someone nicked mine a few years back an if not heard it for a bit.

an if not heard it for a bit.

WHAT? Bloody fingers…

and I’ve not heard it for a bit

There you go.

Abbey Road is my favorite. I love the side B suites, especially the bit between *Carry That Weight * and In the End, where Ringo has a drum solo, then John, George, and Paul duke it out on guitars.
