Favorite Beatles tracks - an album at a time.

I have been mocked for my selections of the best track on each album:

Please Please Me - Twist and Shout
With The Beatles - You’v Really Got a Hold on Me

Well, for Please Please Me, I would have to go with the title track, but “Twist and Shout” is maybe #2 or #3. On With the Beatles, I don’t have one strong favorite… “You Really Got a Hold On Me” does showcase John’s voice well, but overall, I tend to like the originals better – sounds like you may be the opposite.

Americans should note that this represents the overseas albums, not the U.S.-released Capitol albums.

I won’t mock you, don’t ask, for the terrible lack of taste in your selections  , but surely the best tracks on those albums are “Ask Me Why” and “Don’t Bother Me.”

‘I Saw Her Standing There’ from Please Please Me

‘All My Loving’ from With The Beatles

Are we just doing the first two for now or are we supposed to do the rest?

Using the British/CD versions:

Help–You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
Rubber Soul–Run for Your Life

Please Please Me - Title track

Let It Be - ‘Let It Be’

Yeah in many ways it was the first drum’n’bass song–30 years before anyone used that term. I always wished someone over the years would have reissued the song as a 12-inch single; the bass alone would probably knock you into the next room.
