Favorite Boys' Names?

I like old-fashioned names:

Loyal, Asher, Chaim, and Noam are my favorites. (If I have a son he will be Noam Ilan.)

Leo is definitely my favorite. It was my great-grandfather’s name and I’m working on the SO to use it as our son’s name, should we have a son.

I also like Ian, Aidan, Ethan, Noah, Benjamin, and George.

Ava

Here are a few of my favs.

  1. Ian
  2. Indiana or Indy
  3. Jackson

Fred.

Jack, Asher, Isaac.

My list of favorite boys’ names is somewhat long. For many years, I’ve dabbled in writing, so I’ve made a list of names that I like and would want to give to my characters. Most of the names I like because I know people with them who have made a good and lasting impression on my. The rest of them just sound nice to me.

In random order: Austin, Shane, Ezekiel, Christopher, Aaron, Evan, Zachary, Kenneth, Ethan, Seamus, Tristan, Clayton, Sunil, Mateo, Antonio, Nathaniel, Todd, Russell, Kevin, Gabriel, Kenneth, and Jeshua.

Callum, Ian, Owen, Ewen, Malcolm
Gabriel, Sylvain, Etienne, Olivier

There are a few more, but those are the ones I like the most.

The problem with the first set is that they either sound horrible (or just cruel to the child) when paired with my SOs last name, except for Malcolm, which is good, because that was my grandfathers name.

The problem with the second set is that my SOs family already has one of each (well, technically its Gabrielle, a girl, but still…)

I think I’m dating the wrong guy - at least when it comes to boy’s names! The funny thing is, there aren’t any girl names that I absolutely love, so if/when we have kids, the whole naming-thing is gonna be tough!

I like my son’s name Bennett, as well as my other son’s name, Owen…

Devan, Ethan, Jaden and Brady are our favorite. I also like Spencer, Zander/Xander and Hunter, but our last name is an ER name, so they’re out.

I am extremely fond of the name “Peter”. These days it’s been co-opted by the dirty-minded, but maybe I can get away with using it as a middle name.

Benjamin, Sebastian, Alexander, Jared, Victor. I guess I like weighty, old-fashioned names.

I love anything old fashioned and hearty.

Stanley, Maxwell, Charlie, Darren, Louis, Edward, Thomas… you get the picture.
