My next door neighbor had a brother named Asa. When I heard her call his name in conversation for the first time I questioned her about it. It’s a different name. And as much as I have read and studied the Bible, I was stunned to learn that it’s a biblical name. I looked it up after she told me that. She was right.
I don’t really have a favorite, but the funniest name I ever heard was: Coy Glasscock. He started to work a few weeks before I left. I had a hard time keeping a straight face when I said his name. A really nice guy, but what were his parents thinking?!!
I think Alicia is a nice name, and I also like Pamela but it always reminds me of Pamela Anderson (bit…). I like Pam in the movie The Doors, I think that was cute.
I really liked the name Jacob until I heard it was the 2nd most popular name for baby boys last year. This happens to me all the time, so now my favorite name is Vernon. (let’s see that one get popular)
I’ve always been partial to the variant Isabeau, and for a boy’s name, I think Daniel and Thomas are great–they can grow with the kid–Danny and Tommy as a baby, Dan and Tom as youngsters, and the very dignified Daniel and Thomas when they grow into lawyers or lawn care experts.
Asa, my favorite name for a male
How is that pronounced??
I like the name Madison for a girl. Not sure about favorite boy name.
My friend Ed is pretty old, WWII old, and he told me a story about a girl named Gerdy Naggits and another named Audrey Buzzboom! If those aren’t two of the funniest names ever!
hmm…never really gave it much thought
but my family has these default (dare i call them) names. unforutnately there seem to be only male names in this category. anyway they happen to be: Robert and Julian.
as for girls names like audrey i’ll leave that to her father (whoever he ends up being) but i do have one rule as long as they are good traditional names i have no problem
