Ohmigosh - you thought that was funny? Talk about different strokes! Me, my sister, and my brother were all traumatized by that cartoon - I swear! It’s come up a few times in discussions in the past few years and we all say how disturbing it was.

<sigh> I forgot two things. A0 The Interweb does not lend itself well to joking and joshing (and I hate hate those smileys used to soften the impact of words) and 2) Eva is a touchy subject in otakudom. Color me abashed.
So sorry for the misunderstanding. Totally not my intent.
But I will say that I do not see how I “picked apart” anything. As a card carrying anime fan I thought it understood that it was obligatory for one person to express the natural punktitude in Eva, as encapsulated by its main character.
Oh well, I will go back to trying to figure out how to make an Eva 00 costume for my next con while looking at scenes from her non-bootlegged copies so I can make a music video.*
