Favorite comic strip?

That I would love to see!

P.S. I have not seen “Sinfest” - have a link for the lazy?

http://www.sinfest.net

If you want to start from a first strip (like any proper webcomic should be read), then http://www.sinfest.net/d/20000117.html is your address.

For far out weird, I like "Red Meat ". Also, “this modern world” and “zippy” are pretty good.

all time faves:

the far side
Doonesbury (20 years ago, only see it rarely now)
Dilbert
Blondie
Eyebeam (I don’t think this one ever made national synd.)
Life in Hell (a matt groening comic, before the simpsons)
All time worst:

Apartment 3-G
Mary Worth
Family Circus
Snuffy Smith
Nancy

Another vote for Megatokyo, although I’m not always sure what’s going on (I like it for the art and because I like Japan, but I’m not a gamer so a lot goes over my head).

I will strongly recommend Wigu. Here’s the first strip to get you started. It’s nifty.

Hmm . . . anyone like Cat And Girl? I love this one in particular.

" . . . cheeeeeesequaaaake . . ."

Comic strips…yay!

Favorites:
Zits - totally my brother

Frazz - just too cute (They actually used “Islets of Langerhas (or however it’s spelled” in one of hte comics. It’s some part of the body related to the liver that my roommate had to learn our first year of college. I thought she said “eyelids of langerhans” and laughed until I cried. I was so excited to see it mentioned I cut out hte comic and we put it up in our apartment. grin)

Sinfest - best web comic ever

Chopping Block - web comic only for those with stronger stomachs
Chopping Block

Lizard - interesting fare
Lizard

Jumpstart - Just good

Baby Blues - Zoe is so me sometimes!

Crankshaft - the flashbacks drawn like old photos are cool

The Boondocks - pointed commentary

And, of course, For Better or Worse - I’ve been reading that comic since I was a child and have grown up with Elizabeth. I even remember when Farley, the dog, died. *sniffles

This one was laugh-out-loud funny:

Sick but good.

There aren’t any good comic strips anymore. Maybe Curtis but it appears “urban” strips don’t fly out in the sticks of Colorado. All the other strips that were worthwhile are defunct.

Current favorites:

Zits
For Better or For Worse
Dilbert
Baby Blues
Shoe (Still in print, though, sadly, MacNelly’s gone)
Mother Goose and Grimm
Non Sequitur (my vote for successor to The Far Side)

Gone and much lamented:

Calvin and Hobbes
The Far Side

All Time Favorite:

Li’l Abner (Al Capp was a satiric genius!)

Bloom County forever. And I’m in the UK, where it was hardly ever syndicated anywhere (shame on us), so I’ve had to buy the books and compilations.

Bloom County/Outland
The Far Side
The Piranhaclub
Sherman’s Lagoon
Bizarro
The Big Picture
Calvin&Hobbes

Get Fuzzy
For Better or For Worse (I kind of have a connection with Elizabeth–I go to the same university as her, so every year they bring out the wood cut-out of her)
Zits
FoxTrot
Baby Blues-I even, when I get a chance to, watch the cartoon on Teletoon

And along with everyone, I despise FAMILY CIRCUS shakes fist at Bil Keane

I dunno, Matsky 1981, maybe you’re just reading the wrong paper. Check this out!
Caution: Sensitive Dopers may be offended. You’ve been warned.

When I was growing up, my favorites were definitely Peanuts, Crankshaft, and Garfield. About high school, I started following Luann and Funky Winkerbean as well. Sadly, I haven’t followed these strips in years.

I pretty much stick to webcomics. Keenspot hosts most of the ones I love. Among them are College Roomies From Hell!!!, It’s Walky!, Melonpool, RPG World, The Class Menagerie, Avalon, Real Life, Sinfest, and Ashfield (formerly ?). Off of Keenspot, I read The Life of Riley, Reality Glitch, Stubble, and What the Hell?.

I apparently have a webcomic obsession.
