Favorite Movie Hitman

Ahh, Scott-san, you are indeed gifted, but the student is not yet ready to surpass the master. For I have only shared with you the ways of Occidental hitmen. I have not spoken of the deadliness of the paid assassin Oriental dealers in death.

Master Han, ENTER THE DRAGON. (Hey. So what if he’s technically a drug dealer and pimp? He was gettin’ paid.)

The entire lead cast of KILL BILL, VOLS. I & II (Well, they learned Oriental ways, regardless of ethnicity) Special shout-out to the Crazy 88.

Cha Eun-jin from South Korea’s MY WIFE IS GANGSTER

Jade Fox from CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON

Broken Sword, Flying Snow, Sky and Nameless in HERO

Enjoy.

hit man: Stallone in “Get Carter”

hit back hard: Mel Gibson in “Payback”

Well, I had three, but two (Martin Blank and Jean Reno’s Leon) have already been mentioned. Number three is Ghost Dog from Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai.

But their roles were done better the first time around by Michael Caine (in the original Get Carter) and Lee Marvin (in Point Blank which was loosely remade as Payback).

Morgan Freeman in Unforgiven – because he’s, well, Morgan Freeman, I guess.

I concur with NDP’s nomination of Alan Ladd in This Gun For Hire. Accept no substitutes.

No love for Luca Brazzi?

Well, Luca definitely had presence, but he did fall for the old “here, shake my hand … AHA! KNIFE! GARROTTE!!!” trick. Can you imagine somebody trying to pull that shit on Jules Winfield?

And Jules would have nailed that wedding greeting…

Jaws

[size=1]The hitman, not the shark

preview :smack: :wally

Kang Xi Jia and Hak On Fung were great assassins in Kung Fu Hustle. They killed their targets with deadly harp music.

Chow Yun-Fat in John Woo’s The Killer.

It’s CHOW YUN-Freaking FAT! They just don’t come any more suave.

Charles Bronson in The Mechanic

The book was better.

Lena Olin was insane and insanely hot in Romeo is Bleeding.

Gotta love the fight scene in the school in Grosse Pointe Blank.

Neither of those noms are Hitmen though; Marv is hired muscle and he dislikes hitmen and the girls of Old Town only kill to defend their community.

I’d make a contribution but all the good ones are taken! :frowning:

Martin Blank is still cool though.

Porter .

As in Payback? He’s a thug, not a hitman.

We never actually got to see Luca hit anybody in the movie, so his professional coolness is still hearsay.

James Gandolfini’s hitman Winston is the best thing about The Mexican. The rest of the movie is awful.

Marv was a hitman who was paid in p*ssy.

But, fine. The guy who took out Tony Montana at the end of Scarface.
