Favorite movie that never existed?

I kinda liked that movie Kevin was watching in “Home Alone”, Angels with Dirty Sneakers if I recall correctly.

Go rent Identity. That’s pretty close.

Fox Force Five, mentioned in Pulp Fiction (although I suspect the recent Charlie’s Angels and Tarantino’s own upcoming Kill Bill are sorta close.)

A Starman movie, adapting the James Robinson/Tony Harris comic book story arc “Sins of the Father” from Starman #0-5, starring John Cusack as Jack Knight, Paul Newman as Ted Knight, and Johnny Depp as The Shade.

History of the World, Part 2!

The Austin Powers ripoff with Tom Cruise and Kevin Spacey.

I also would like to see Chubby Rain (from Bowfinger).

“That’s what you get for not hailing to the chimp!”

I wish people would stop nominating things that exist.

Grousser, there is a Fantastic Four movie; Roger Corman was involved. It was never released, but copies are floating around.

Hometownboy, the Starship Troopers you want is commercially available as the animated series. It maybe doesn’t have the Skinnies, but it does have the powersuits that were dropped from the movie due to cost.

Ludovic, you’re just an idiot for nominating a movie that’s being completed as we speak and therefore most definitely exists- and that’s not even mentioning the animated RotK (a wise move IMHO).

My favourite movie that never existed? Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.

The Forever War

The “killing spree ending” of It’s A Wonderful Life.

One more for “Buckaroo Banzai Against the World Crime League.” I’m always a little sad at the end of “Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension” that this sequel was never to be.

Also, Ramsey Campbell’s horror novel, Ancient Images, involves a search for a missing film starring Bela Lugusi and Boris Karloff titled “Tower of Fear.” It sounds like a pretty good 1930’s horror film, kind of James Whalish, and I’d love to see it despite the hideous curse upon it.

Roger Rabbit II: Toon Platoon (despite the number, I have heard that this was supposed to be a prequel.)

The original, 1911 silent version of The Posiedon Adventure.

There’s a couple of movies that DID get made that I would like to have seen made DIFFERENTLY.

“Velvet” was an 80s TV movie, clearly a pilot for a series. It was about a trio of hot female secret agents whose cover was that of aerobics instructors working out of a chain of aerobics studios called “Velvet” that was actually a cover for the secret agency.

I would like to see it remade except this time the aerobics studios are cover for a white slavery ring. In the original movie, there’s a really cool design aspect to the studios – a central office that looks out on all the exercise rooms through one-way glass so you can see the agents leading their sexy classmates in their spandex. I wouldn’t change a thing, I’d just have the white slavers watching the classes and saying – “That one seems to be coming along nicely – veeeeery flexible. Let’s take her!” Next scene, she’s tied up in the room with the white slavers helplessly watching her former classmates work out through the one way glass.

Coulda been a very wicked little movie. Did I mention the original was by Aaron Spelling?

It is sad to note that all the works of famed actress GINGER GRANT do not get any play. Her promising career was cut short by her disappearance for twenty years on the ill-fated S.S. Minnow.
The world needs more films like BELLY DANCERS FROM BALI BALI.

I would like to see the movie they were filming in “Stuntman”.

Also, any number of student films I shot but were never finished.

Pee Wee’s movie from Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. (with Morgan Fairchild)

Some movies that never were:[ul][li]An Orson Well’s directed Batman would have been interesting.[/li][li]Harlan Ellison’s script for I Robot would have made a cool movie.[/li]I hope that Good Omens directed by Terry Gilliam will be made one day; it sounds like a cool project…[/ul]

Oh, one more a Terry Gilliam version of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy:

It could have been great, however I don’t think I want to see a Hitchhiker’s Movie made now that Douglas is gone… :frowning:
Hollywood would probably screw it up anyway…

Trio starring Whoopee Goldberg, Sylvester Stallone and Jackie Chan (and directed, of course, by Alan Smithee).

Tunguska, as described in Douglas Coupland’s book Miss Wyoming. The plot involves an orgasm that destroys Siberia – hey, what’s not to like about that?

Terry Gilliam was making a Good Omens movie? What happened?

The Monster, which was apparently the only flick a certain Bedrock theater ever showed.

Any of the cinematic projects mentioned on this page, particularly Buchman and Tunnel of Hate.

Actually, RealityChuck, that would be The Dancing Cavalier. (Just another Singing in the Rain fan.)

you can read about it at: http://www.smart.co.uk/dreams

Sounds as if the movie at least has a chance of being made within our lifetimes. Hopefully, if Gilliam’s next movie, The Brothers Grimm does well they might be able to get financing for Good Omens.

I hate to admit this, but there were two videos shot to look like they were cut from movies. I always thought they had potential.

Janie’s got a gun - Aerosmith (molested teenage girl, mother looks the other way, daughter cracks and kills dad, and “runs away from the pain”)

Into the great wide open - Tom Petty (Johnny Depp as a singer new to LA, managed by Faye Dunaway - burns out)

Another Welles movie: Don Quixote.
